Senior iOS Developer

Role overview

We are looking for an iOS Engineer to join our team and help us keep building our native MyCircle app. You would be working directly with our cofounders and Head of Product to design and deliver new features to our users. We are a small team with a modern app written in Swift consuming our PHP backend, and we are looking to keep growing with talented developers that live and breathe to build the best apps to help users all around the world!

Qualifications

• You are a well-rounded engineer who has led the full life cycle of major projects.
• You know how to code...very, very well. You are comfortable in Swift and have a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, building custom UI, and creating great user experiences.
• You care deeply about the user. You want to blow their mind.
• You're a decisive builder, a shipper, and a craftsperson.
• You move fast and work hard.
• You're comfortable working in a problem space with a lot of uncharted territory.
• You do the right thing.
• You are opinionated but open, you want the best idea to win.
• Experience developing and architecting UI and backend components for iOS apps.
• Solid grasp of algorithms, memory management, object oriented programming, SOLID, concurrent programming, and real time communications.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into solid maintainable code, delivered on time.
• Modern testing methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• You'll be a key player with major influence on a small team, focused on the MyCircle iOS experience.
• You have the opportunity (requirement) to continually learn, teach, and step outside your comfort zone.
• You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of projects — from conception, through implementation, and measurement — that change the trajectory of MyCircle.
